The Aftermath

The Aftermath is the coolest band ever, and there is nothing you can do to stop them! Or their kittens!

Unofficial

Well, I have talked to Brandon a couple times and the impression I get, based on what he says, is that we'll be playing again. The Aftermath is definitely dead, since nobody has heard from Tyler in WELL over a year now. Brandon has been playing in another band, "Once Lost," for a season, and they have recently lost a bass player. Since I am "just a bass player" myself, there is a good chance I will be joining their ranks. It will not be the same kind of music as The Aftermath, but that won't matter to anybody on the planet, because the only person who reads this blog who has HEARD The Aftermath is my fiance, who isn't likely to say she dislikes a band for any reason other than it absorbing too much time that used to be devoted solely to her. Well, I should be meeting with the B-Dogg some time this afternoon and we will be discussing things and maybe doing some songwriting or composing or, well, nothing at all. We could also discuss the status on the band name, since the arguments surrounding whether to keep the name "Once Lost" all center around the old bassist, who was not old at all. (Yes, I know, I should start sentences with something other than "well," like maybe "good.")I also want to remember some song names I learned from Dave Barry books I read in Louisiana, such as "Otters Who Love, and the Otters Who Love Them." I don't think the song would be about that necessarily, but it would definitely be fun to just have some song titles that were unrelated to the song so that nobody can find their favorite song, and that way they have to buy ALL the albums and actually LISTEN to them to find a song about the Messiah curing demon-possession with a title like, "Watson, There's a Weasel Chomping." Just a thought. Maybe it's all just Metric Humor.
